The Ministry of National Defense was established in 1956 by an Act of the National Legislature and charged with the responsibility to
provide direction and supervision to the Armed Forces of Liberia. The Ministry of National Defense administers three programs,
namely: Program One, Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), Program Two, Central Administration , and Program Three, Liberian Coast Guard
